Change Your Focus

Dearest Friends,

Gladly and with great joy you came forward into this life experience, but you quickly forgot the awe and wonder which brought you here. Some would say that life has been set up like this. Others would say that wonders never cease but you cease to see the wonders. It is not your eyes that are an issue here, but your focus.

Many of you have chosen to intently focus on things that do not serve you. By doing so, you only bring them into your creation faster. Why is it so easy to see so much negativity when all that embraces you is positive and loving?

The ancient yin-yang symbol keenly explores the delicate balance of light and dark; negative and positive. If you look closely, each half of the symbol also contains a small circle of the opposite color; like the eye of a fish. This small circle can be thought of as a seed of the opposite. For in everything that is dark, there is always the seed of light. Just as in everything that is light, a shadow side is revealed.

Nothing is ever as black or white as people tend to exclaim. Life viewed using a monochrome lens is comprised of shades of grey – a delicate balance of both light and dark. So what is the human need to see things in others and judge them in absolutes? Why must something be one way or another? Why must there be only one real truth given to one special person or one special group of people? Why can’t things simply be seen as they are – whole and beautiful in their chosen form?

When you ask these questions from a broader perspective, it all seems so trivial. As if your entire life has become a game of Trivial Pursuit. It has been said that “When I was a child, I spoke and reasoned like a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.” It is time for you to put your board game away and begin your journey with a more mature perspective.

The journey to your true self and the truth of all that exists begins when you can see beyond the horizon of your self induced limitations. It begins as you courageously accept yourself as you are and allow your inner beauty to well up and flow outward to others. This outpouring of love and acceptance may begin within you but continues gracefully on to countless others impacted by your gift of self awakening. They are watered by your well of awakening and begin to sprout seeds of their own self determination. Can anything be more joyful than this?
