The miracle of self-healing occurs when the inner patient yields to the inner physician.

On Forgiveness - Part 1

My dear friends,

There has been much talk of forgiveness as a necessary form of healing for Oneness. Forgiveness can be conceived of as an energetic release from the depths of your heart which allows you to move forward on your chosen path with grace and ease.

Forgiveness has been defined in many ways by many people from different perspectives. For those who believe they create their reality, forgiveness is not as much of an issue in their self healing work. They tend to understand that as conscious creators, they have attracted those individuals or situations to them that may have inspired a form of forgiveness. For the rare enlightened conscious creator, they know there is really nothing or no one to forgive because they are the creator – the sole producer, director and actor of their own play of reality.

Others coming from a more fundamentalist perspective feel forgiveness of themselves and others is an integral part of their salvation and an important component in receiving the reward of everlasting life. These individuals see the separation of man from God as a constant. They also tend to view themselves as separate from one another. Because of this, they feel they must forgive others for their transgressions against them. The focus being on the actions of others and that have impacted them.

While their intentions are well meaning, they are mistakenly focusing on the actions of others to do their own healing. This is akin to cutting oneself and putting a bandage on another person. Often in a forgiveness situation, the person perceived to be the cause of the pain is not even aware of the hurt another person feels. This is not because they are callous or uncaring. It is simply because they were focused on their own desires or needs in the moment.

People tend to take the actions of others so personally. This is a particular hindrance to those individuals who are healers or others who are “very sensitive.” You often personalize energies that have nothing to do with you and are simply expressions of the other person. This doesn’t make them wrong and you right or vice versa. It simply is an observation.

If you’re looking for someone to make you feel bad about yourself, you quickly find them, whether you are aware of that unconscious need or not.

So what is a more functional way to define forgiveness which will benefit the majority of people? How can everyone use forgiveness to heal themselves?

Forgiveness is really about understanding oneself at the deepest possible level. It’s an opportunity to look at those areas and issues in your life where wounding is still present.

As you move forward on your spiritual path, you begin to really understand how the illusion of life on this planet is exactly that – an illusion. As you begin to learn how to interact with this illusion in a positive and constructive way, you will learn how to be in the flow of Oneness; the point of Being where things come easily and effortlessly. You will learn how to repeatedly manifest your desires at will. You know you are an integral part of God Source. You also begin to understand the Source of All is a Source of Wellbeing and tap into this Source on a regular and conscious basis which requires you to align with the energies of Wellbeing.

What does that really mean for you? It means if you are in a lower level emotional state, it will be hard for you to allow those positive and loving things to flow easily into your experience. In fact, if you’re in an angry, depressed or saddened state, you’ll despise anyone in your environment who remotely reflects happiness or good feelings.

So what is forgiveness?

t is simply the act of feeling better about yourself and the actions who have taken. Allowing the shame, guilt and other lower level emotional energies to dissipate from your system by simply accepting and acknowledging your actions at the time of the injury or issue as perfect in that moment. It’s an energetic release of energies which no longer serve you.

Looking at is another way, it’s an emotional release from your physical being that allows you to progress on your spiritual path. It is also one of the hardest things that people have to do for themselves. Not because the process is so difficult, but because the perception of this process is so overwhelming.

The same perception problem occurs to you on a smaller scale when you know you have to do something you don’t want to do. Typical behavior is to procrastinate and distract yourself until you absolutely have to do the task. What’s curious, however, is the amount of energy put into the mental, emotional and physical aspects of procrastination often far exceeds the amount of energy in actually completing the task.

With Love,

Yeshua
